To date, the development of the market of health-resort services is of great importance for the health of our country. Modern healthcare is a complex of measures of treatment, prevention and recovery. The package of measures is needed to improve the quality of health of the population. The quality of services and their diversity should correspond to the high level that is necessary to meet the needs of citizens in health-resort services. The complex of health-resort organizations (HRO) and improving the quality of their services will lead to a natural competition between HRO that have a positive impact on the market of health-resort services.

Problem. To date, health-resort activity in Russia does not have a single structure, it is dispersed between ministries, departments and public organizations. Therefore, the development of health-resort organizations is haphazard and isolated. However, health-resort activity represents a single complex, which needs a unified and systematic organizational support and management.

Methods. A statistical method, method of system analysis, formal-logical method.

Results. The analysis of the enterprises of the health-resort complex of the far Eastern Federal District, was conducted, conclusions were made about the problems and prospects of development.

Conclusions. It is necessary to develop health tourism in conjunction with projects to improve the efficiency of the health-resort industry. At the heart of the package of measures should be financial and economic and administrative measures, aimed at solving the structural problems prevailing at the moment, as well as the introduction of new technologies in health and recreational activities.
