The study of educational recommendations given by Russian authors on the scientific discipline «Tour Guidance» revealed a lack of theoretical issue of allegations of classifications excursions. The author refers to the historical changes on the methodology of Russian tour business. The issue of development and changes in the tour guidance theory becomes relevant in connection with the appearance of certain domestic and foreign thematic practices that are not covered in the professional literature. The study is based on a consideration of some examples of the most famous films underlying the tour operations. The hypothesis is based on the analysis of film material and emerging trends in cultural tourism and the need for conversion of the tours classification theory. As a result, the author of this paper puts forward a question on amendments to the classification features of tours and thus introducing a new concept of «movie-tour» in terms of the theory of Russian tourism.
