West Kazakhstan region (WKR) has a sufficient resource potential and prospects of development of this kind of tourism. Agrotourism promotes the solution of such problems as increasing the employment of the rural population, raising the incomes and cultural level of the local population, developing markets and infrastructure of the territory. Great importance in shaping the opportunities for development and territorial organization of the species agritourism belong to the plant-growing and livestock farming. In this connection, the authors of the article assess the opportunities for development and territorial organization of kinds of modern agritourism in the field of plant-growing and livestock production in the context of the administrative districts of West Kazakhstan region. In addition, the levels of opportunities for development and territorial organization of agritourism in the West Kazakhstan and the levels of capability based on local resource base have been determined. The concept of agrotourism and its interrelation with agriculture, the role in the economy of rural areas in the territorial aspect are also considered.
