Particular attention is paid to the problem of formation of management decisions in the field of strategic adaptation of modern construction enterprises and organizations to external changes and the system of interactions inherent in the investment and construction market. Taking into account the obtained results of the study, the author&amp;#39;s approach to the formation of management decisions on the strategic adaptation of construction business organizations, which can be successfully implemented through the active participation of management consulting specialists, is presented. It is shown that consulting as a professional assistance in solving key problems and achieving sustainable success in the activities of construction enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses, is a management reserve, whose rational use will ensure the formation of the innovation process, which is the most important factor of strategic adaptation.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article is devoted to the problematic issues of improving the management system of the construction sector.
