The authors present a method for assessing the aesthetic and consumer environmental parameters and recreational environmental management. The methodology is based on a geoecological approach, which allows considering the problem in the spatio-temporal aspects of the interaction of society and the environment, taking into account geographic, social, cultural, and economic aspects at the level of the geo-ecosystem. The results of testing the methodology in the territory of Rakitnoye district of the Belgorod region are presented.

In the course of the work, the complex geographical characteristics of the municipal area were compiled. The qualitative and quantitative differences in the perception of the environment and environmental management parameters in different settlements were revealed. Landscape preferences of residents of various settlements in three spatial-temporal forms, degree of satisfaction with the environment, indicators of attractiveness of elements of the natural environment were studied, and the coefficients of activity and mobility of recreational nature management were calculated. The indicators vary in accordance with the size of settlements, their population, and the diversity of the surrounding nature.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article deals with the methodological foundations of the study of the aesthetic properties of the landscape.
