A separate role in arranging business events is given to food service, which emphasizes the importance and relevance of the research conducted in this work. Catering for business events gives stability to the environment, thus creating a professional and pleasant atmosphere for the people involved. At the same time, it is necessary that food corresponds to the theme and purpose of the meeting, which is not always found in modern practice. The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristics of catering for business events. The problem of this study is to determine the role of food in the organization of business events, a clear distinction between the main types of business events and the study of factors influencing the choice of a particular type of food in the organization of business events. The research is based on general scientific methods of cognition: generalization and systematization of theoretical data; comparison, analysis of the literature on the existing practice of business tourism, and the results of the survey. The results of the study can be used by local entrepreneurs who are positioned in the catering service of the business tourism segment, as well as directly with business event organizers.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Business tourism is a well-established market that was investigated repeatedly by scholars and practitioners in their research works.
