The pandemic has a significant impact on aircraft ground operations because standard operating procedures need to be revised to include sanitary requirements. The purpose of this article is to show the impact of the coronavirus infection on the aviation industry in connection with the introduction of restrictions. The process of collecting data on the functioning of the system under study in relation to a given goal has been carried out. In our study, we examined the period of a collapse in passenger traffic, using a historical method that allows us to study specific events or processes that occurred over a short period of time. Historical research also involves collecting data from situations that have already occurred and statistical analysis of this data.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The global COVID-19 pandemic, national restrictions and an unprecedented drop in passenger demand around the world have resulted in airlines canceling flights, laying off staff, seeking financial support and placing planes in temporary storage.
