This sector generates foreign exchange, stimulates regional development, directly supports numerous types of jobs and businesses, and supports many local communities. Recent trends point to continued strong growth around the world, and this approach illustrates the leading role that governments are playing to optimize potential benefits and reduce associated costs. In this context, in the conditions of digital transformation and the formation of a new direction &amp;quot;Tourism 4.0&amp;quot;, the authors propose the development and implementation of a digital tourism platform for the North Caucasus region, which is based on the principle of digital-physical convergence. As a result of the study, the authors developed a model of the digital tourism platform of the North Caucasus region. The digital platform is a conceptual new mechanism for concentrating the region&amp;#39;s tourism potential. The introduction of a digital tourism platform in the North Caucasus region contributes to the transformation of the subjects of the regions to a new level of digital development, as a result, a favorable tourist climate is formed in the region, new types, directions and products are formed, and competitive advantages arise for the region at the national level. Also, there are new opportunities for realizing the potential of small and medium-sized businesses in the region, expanding opportunities to work without being tied to a specific place, and new areas of activity are being formed.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Tourism is a very important economic sector at the global and local levels and provides real prospects for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
