The analysis of tourist resources of the Botanical Garden as a nature reserve allows to draw a conclusion on a possibility of creation of a competitive tourist product which at the correct organization of marketing of the territory will be demanded by different groups of consumers. The main goal of the project consists in providing conditions for organized mass tourism, rest and high level of service of Russian and foreign guests, and also the residents of Belgorod Region. The shifted concept of development of the Botanical Garden as a tourist and recreational complex of Belgorod Region completely corresponds to the principles of ecological tourism. The Botanical Garden is seen as a tourist object of Belgorod and as a public complex ecological resource combining at the same time educational, research, production, service and nature protection kinds of activity. The implementation of the project will promote creation of an innovative competitive tourist product on the lands of the nature reserve, and will also promote an increase of competitiveness of the tourist branch in the region.
