The article contains some information and practical recommendations on the sustainable development of cruise tourism on the Baikal territory. The authors analyze cruise tourism, its infrastructure, and assess its healthcare effect. The article provides the analysis of the role of cruise tourism on Baikal in the Strategy of the Russian Union of the Tourism Industry and the Concept of development of cruise activity in Russia for the period of 2025-2030. The research was aimed at the study of the organization of Russian cruise tourism, including Irkutsk cruise tourism, that allowed to reveal the main problems of this type of tourism and to identify some ways and prospects of development of this segment of the tourist industry. The main methods of research include: theoretical analysis, problem analysis, statistical analysis. As a result of the research, the authors have developed a number of recommendations about the development of cruise tourism on the Baikal territory.
