The authors analyze the existing system of vocational training for the recreational tourism in the region. It was established that one of the limiting factors in the development of tourism and hospitality in the region is the lack of a unified system of additional vocational training and career enhancement. The authors put forward the ways of improving vocational training for the tourism industry in the region arranged at Belgorod State National Research University with the use of distance learning technologies. The main purpose of the proposed system is to provide a new competence in the organization and provision of services in the tourism and hospitality industry, which is necessary for professional activities; to improve the professional skills of specialists working in the hospitality industry, as well as the development of existing skills.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article considers some problems of developing the system of additional vocational training in tourism and hospitality on the example of Belgorod Region.
