The paper discusses some theoretical and methodological questions, related to the development of GIS-technologies, their introduction and application in recreational researches. For approbation of methods of analysis of recreational information by means of GIS-technologies, the authors have created an array of recreational information on the objects of natural heritage. The analysis of the array of recreational information on natural heritage allowed creating a number of cartographic models and identifying the areas possessing favorable ecotourist potential.
