However, alternative forms of retail that take into account the mobility factor may make an important contribution to increasing the efficiency of retail service. The goal of the present paper is to introduce a complex taxonomy of forms of retail taking into account the mobility factor The methodological basis of the research is the Weber&amp;#39;s method of ideal types and the method of strategic matrices. Tow criteria were used to build up the taxonomy of form of retail: position of the store in space and position of the store towards customers. Superposition of these criteria helped to identify four main pure types of retail: fixed retail, transport retail, retail for travelers and mobile retail. For each type of retail a detailed description, an analysis of specific features and models of its use are given. The paper points out at the existence of hybrid forms of retail that combine elements typical for different pure types. Prospective directions of further research are more detailed description of each type as well as recommendations for implementation of different types of retail by various stakeholders</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Fixed retail plays a key role in providing customers with access to goods.
