ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITY OF KAZAKHSTAN IN THE WORLD RANKINGS
The level of entrepreneurial activity is the main indicator of the economic and social development of the state. Today, Kazakhstan, according to the world rating, belongs to the group of factor-driven countries. The study analyzes the development of entrepreneurial activity in Kazakhstan and reveals the factors determining its positions. The source of data for analysis was the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor reports for 2014-2017. The study is based on comparative analysis and the method of ranking. The analysis demonstrates a significant growth in all indicators, however, the level of entrepreneurial activity remains at a low level. The Government of Kazakhstan set the development of small and medium-sized business as a priority. Small and medium business in Kazakhstan should not only diversify the economy and create new jobs, but also become real centers for innovation. It is important to note that the government of Kazakhstan has established the development of small and medium-sized businesses, which affected the improvement of entrepreneurial activity in the republic
