Purchasing logistics as a component of the trade process

The article presents the results of a study of the essence and principles of organizing procurement activities within the framework of sales logistics by trade enterprises. The concept of “logistics” was characterized and the most interesting scientific and regulatory approaches to the interpretation of terminology are presented. Features of the use of purchasing logistics, which involves activities to optimize and manage commodity flows, are noted. Logistics subsystems are defined, the essence of procurement logistics was noted as an element of the enterprise's trade policy. The main purpose of procurement and the tasks performed in the process of its implementation have been formed. The structure of the purchasing cycle of an enterprise formed under market conditions was presented. The main criteria underlying the process of selecting a procurement source are indicated, allowing to minimize losses from poor-quality execution of procurement operations and compliance with obligations within the framework of established commercial relationships. Classic methods and formats for purchasing goods in trade enterprises are noted and their features are described. A diagram of the trading process was drawn up, and the place of purchasing activities in it was determined. The influence of procurement logistics on the efficiency of a trading enterprise was substantiated. The presented materials may be of interest to managers of enterprises and their structural units in the framework of creating an effective procurement system, as well as scientists whose scientific interests concern the problems of logistics of trade business.
