The influence of organizational culture on the development of human capital in small businesses of the tourism industry
Small businesses play an important role in the development of the tourism industry. Their productivity and sustainability are influenced by human capital, the predictor of which is the organizational culture of the enterprise. In this context, it is especially important to study the essence of the organizational culture of small tourism industry businesses and its impact on the formation and development of their human capital. The study used generalization, statistical analysis, questionnaire survey, abstract-logical methods. A bibliographic analysis of the literature revealed insufficient elaboration of the theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the formation of the organizational culture of small businesses in the tourism industry and its impact on the development of their human capital. Based on the analysis, trends towards the reduction of small business in the tourism industry of the Russian Federation have been identified. A hypothesis is formulated about the dependence of the development of the country's tourism industry on the level of its socio-economic development, which is confirmed by international comparisons. In the course of the research, the definition of the concept of "organizational culture" is formulated, the factors of its interrelation and interdependence with the human capital of small businesses in the tourism industry are considered. A questionnaire survey was conducted among students of the Faculty of Tourism and Service who had completed practical training in small tourism industry businesses. The shortcomings of their organisational culture were identified, and overcoming these will help to improve the processes involved in the formation and effective use of their human capital. This is an important condition for increasing competitiveness and operational efficiency.
