Educational excursion as a method of deeper study of the subject and advanced training
In modern educational systems, interactive and practice-oriented teaching methods are becoming increasingly important, allowing not only to transfer knowledge, but also to develop a whole range of professional and personal competencies in students. One such method is an educational excursion, which provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in a real professional environment and forms a deeper understanding of the subject being studied in students and specialists.
However, universities often take a formal approach to conducting educational excursions. To solve this problem, the article analyses the conceptual foundations, historical context and practical aspects of organising educational excursions. It provides arguments in favour of their effectiveness in the education of undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as in advanced training. It also considers possible barriers and prospects for the development of this method. Within the framework of the conducted research, the purpose of the article is to show the importance and variety of opportunities that a modern educational excursion opens up for obtaining professional competencies of students of humanities. The research conducted proves the effectiveness of organising educational excursions and highlights the need to incorporate them into curricula. This requires the development of methodological guidelines that describe how to conduct excursions and the criteria by which their effectiveness can be evaluated.
