Noble estates as a potential for cultural and educational tourism of the Nizhny Novgorod region

This study is devoted to the potential of the development of estate tourism in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The relevance of the topic is due to the importance of cultural and educational tourism as a vector of development of the tourism industry and the special significance of manor complexes – the objects of cultural and historical heritage. The purpose of the study was to study the potential of estate tourism in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the objects of which are estate complexes with tourist attractiveness. The theoretical basis of the study was the work of domestic authors analyzing the role and importance of estates in the history and culture of Russia, sanctifying the problems of the development of estate tourism. The study used both general scientific methods: historical method, comparative analysis, observation method, SWOT analysis, and private scientific methods – the method of designing tourist routes, with the help of which an excursion tour of the estate complexes of the Nizhny Novgorod region was developed.
