Youth tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan (based on empirical research)

The results of the research conducted by the author made it possible to identify the specifics of youth tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan in the conditions of post-pandemic and sanctions. The degree of intensity of youth tourism, estimated as low, was revealed. A comfortable amount of money that youth representatives are willing to spend on one trip per person in the region was determined. The rating of the most popular types of tourism among young people of the republic, headed by active, beach, and dacha types of tourism was compiled. The pattern of decreasing popularity of beach and summer holidays and increasing attractiveness of cognitive tourism with the age of respondents was revealed. The tourist sites of the region already mastered by young people were described. Their list is headed by the capital of the republic, as well as the sights of Yelabuga, Nizhnekamsk and Bolgar. Promising youth tourism destinations considered by young people as future sites to visit were characterised. They include both tourist objects of cultural and historical purpose: Yelabuga, Chistopol, as well as the sights of industrial objects – Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk. The necessity to increase the attractiveness of socially significant types of tourism that contribute to the patriotic education of young people was substantiated.
