Factors of external and internal environment affecting the competitiveness of a hotel enterprise
When studying the issue of enterprise competitiveness, it is crucial to understand that competitiveness is a dynamic concept influenced by various internal and external factors of the environment, which can change over time. The relevance of studying the factors of hotel enterprise competitiveness is due to the need for their effective adaptation to rapidly changing market conditions, including shifts in consumer preferences, technological innovations, and changes in the legislative and economic environment. The aim of the study is to analyze the main internal and external factors and develop recommendations for managing these factors to enhance overall competitiveness. Particular attention is given to the tools used to manage these factors, with a focus on the importance of flexibility when adapting a hotel enterprise's business model. This includes changes to the service structure, pricing policy and customer service systems. To achieve the set goal, the study used methods of analysis, synthesis, and systematization, as well as comparative analysis to identify the key factors determining the competitiveness of hotel enterprises in various conditions. The prevailing internal and external challenges faced by hotel enterprises are considered, and effective ways of responding to them are proposed to enhance competitiveness. Particular attention is given to the significance of an innovative approach, responsiveness to changes, and continuous improvement in service quality. The study showed that the competitiveness of hotel enterprises depends on internal factors (service quality, staff professionalism, technologies) and external factors (economic situation, social changes, climate). The practical significance of the work lies in the proposed methods, which will help strengthen the competitive position in the market through flexibility, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
