The service sector of the Russian Federation: correlation analysis
In recent years, there has been a trend of active development of the service sector. Its high level indicates a positive situation in the country's economic sector. The state and development of the service sector of the Russian Federation is studied on the basis of statistical data published annually by Rosstat collections. The service sector is a huge area of the country's economy, so its study is practically possible only as its separate parts. When studying large systems, it is advisable to single out its main part, which makes the greatest contribution to achieving the overall goal for which the system is intended. The system approach involves taking into account the interrelationship of the system with the environment, as well as within the system between its parts. Based on statistical data, a model of a system of paid services, including household services, has been developed, which make the main contribution to their volume, together with a subsystem of enterprises servicing these services. To determine the presence of statistically significant systemic relationships, their direction and strength, a correlation analysis of the variation series compiled from statistical data was carried out. It was established that there is a statistically significant direct strong relationship within the system (the correlation coefficient is higher than 0.80). The exception is the relationship between the volume of housing repair and construction services and the total number of consumer services facilities; it is not statistically significant. The relations of the system of the volume of paid services (billion rubles) with some socio-economic indicators are determined. Statistically significant relationships were established between the value of GDP per capita (RUB) and all types of paid services for the total GDP (billion roubles). The relationship with the total volume of paid services turned out to be statistically insignificant. Based on the results of the conducted research, a structural model of the system of the considered part of the service sector was developed.
